Hey guys, I'm new here but I found out about you here just in time for the last swap meet!
I have an Amiga 500 with some mods and add-ons for sale.
Amiga 500 Computer with boxes and books
Matching Amiga RGB Monitor w req video cable
Amiga Commodore Mouse
Internal memory and RTC upgrade
AlfaRAM 8MB Fast RAM sideport expansion module
Internal 68k based IDE controller board with WD HDD
Some software and games inc boxed Beneath a Steel Sky
It's been awhile since I was really into the machine to remember some of the exact details like the Hard Drive size. It's a 40MB IIRC and it does still work. It has workbench installed and no diskette required for bootup. The machine does work and the condition of the A500 itself is fair. It's not perfect but it looks quite decent. Nothing is cracked or broken, the keyboard is in great shape and all the LED's work. The main thing that's not perfect is the bottom panel it seems a little loose perhaps the screws aren't the exact correct size it seems they're too big so the bottom isn't perfectly tight. There's been a little corrosion on the internal memory /RTC board but it still seems to work okay. I would recommend changing the battery and cleaning the board up and it should be good to go. I can't remember if it's a 1MB or 2MB or what exactly. But like I said it also has the 8MB FastRAM module. Most of the diskettes have worked but a few have haven't. Normal given the disks age but it wouldn't hurt to clean the floppy drive if you have one of those cleaning disks.
I know what this stuff is worth. I've had a few people tell me I shouldn't sell the RGB monitor for less than $200! If I had a little more know how I could make custom cables to use older consoles like the Sega Genesis or Neo Geo with pure RGB quality! I know the IDE controller board alone is worth near $100, as is the 8MB FastRAM expansion. Even the price of the mouse alone is surprising. The RGB monitor and other additions alone are worth the asking price and some of this stuff is getting really hard to find.
I'm asking $260 OBO. I've already had someone I personally know give interest in this so any offers above $200 will be kept in mind.
Thanks guys,
I think this would make any retro computer fan a happy camper. I would love to keep it but it does take up a lot of room and the need to use it's own monitor only makes that worse for me. I also have Atari 8-bits and Commodore 64's and I can't concentrate on them all. I end up using none rather than focusing on a few. If I didn't need the cash and extra room right now I would keep it for myself. But truth is I don't use it and if someone can get more use out of it that would be great!
Oh and I also collect for the Sega Master System, Sega Genesis/MD, TG16, PCE, FC, SFC, etc. If you want to make an offer for trade I will require $160 cash but you can make up for the rest in trade if you want to give that a try! I do need some cash but... well... you know how it is!

No bytes?
Okay guys I want someone here to get this be all/end all of classic 16-bit computers of the late 80's.
$200 FIRM takes it! I've already had 2, I repeat 2 offers for $200 but the one guy never showed and the other guy asked if I could do payments (I sort of know him well enough and he always wants to do payments lol)
But someone on here NEEDS to have this in their life!

Lots of memories of the Amiga... what a great system. Way ahead of its time. And Psygnosis ROCKED the Amiga.
“Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth you'd probably be able to get a lot of free games.” - Jack Handy
