The Facebook page reports that they've fixed their earlier plumbing issues and are now open. It also says it's Monday-Sunday 11am-12am. So I'm off to check it out. I think I read somewhere else that perhaps they close at 11? But I'll report what I find. I'm excited to check it out.

Nope, no dice.

Drove down from Pickering for a few hours of pinball only to discover it was closed, no one in sight.

Parking lot right beside the place was dirt cheap though, $2 for the night, so at least when I go back I'll know exactly where it's located and what to expect for parking. Disappointed that it was closed though, there was nothing on the fb page or website to indicate that it would be.

Shame, but I'll be back another time soon.

Not sure if there's much interest here or not. But I got a chance to go last night when they were open and again today. I was pleasantly surprised. It's simple, and does feel "as though they've just opened" but the owner Jason is a nice guy who seems genuinely excited to talk to his customers about the machines he has and the ones he expects to get, the coffee I had was quite good, and the pinball machines were all in good working order.

A couple exceptions, the Black Knight is currently down (apparently the board fried) but will be up next week according to Jason. The Bow and Arrow machine was acting up a bit (but what EM's don't?) but Jason was quick to come and open it up and try and fix it and refund the lost quarters.

You get a lot of pinball for your buck, all machines were set up for 25¢ per play, and all of them were set to 5-ball mode.

It was fairly full on Monday night right up until 11pm when the doors closed, and had a couple people in today mid-day when I checked back in, so it seems as though it's getting some good business. I just hope that they makes enough off coffee and treats to keep the place afloat.

Anyways, that's my ¢2, I would certainly recommend it and will be returning again in the near future to try and take down one of the top 2 scores on Comet and to play some AC/DC :D

I'd like to check them out but I hear their hours are still unpredictable.. I'd rather not show up and they not be open.

Also how's the parking situation in that area?

EM's are a heck of a lot easier to work on than SS machines. Mine rarely "act up". :)

You sir (cooke) are a lucky man. My Em's gave me nothing but trouble.

I got an e-mail newsletter from Jason this morning, they have altered the hours slightly now opening at 10am on weekends and 11am during the week. The newsletter was something to the effect of "The rumors are true, we've opened early, come on down!" So I suspect their hours will be much more stable now.

Parking is good, the building is essentially right on the corner of queen west and a side street, and there's a fairly big parking lot adjacent to said side street thats $4 flat rate for day parking, and $2 flat rate after 6pm.

Their Facebook and Twitter pages have links to other videos if you want to see the place. I think it's petition time. What is it, more than 2 machines is a problem? We need to change that.

There shouldn't be much of an issue with the Bylaw. See here:

http://www.thestar.com/news/article/113 ... tting-down

Jason has stated that if he gets fined, so be it, he's appealing the bylaw infringement and it doesn't appear like this should be terribly difficult to do.

I think the biggest hurdle isn't fighting the bylaw, but actually getting their appeal considered on time. Fact of the matter is, the city is going to put this very low on their priority list.. and in the meantime, the bylaw still stands. I'm afraid they'll get fined and eventually forced to shut down before this even looked at by the city.

How much would the fine be? Approx? And how often is it given? Monthly? Yearly?
