I don't know the current price but I can vouch for the seller. I have bought machines from him in the past and they were all exactly described. I think he might be a member here too.

I found this, so it seems a little overpriced

It is a bit, it's a $900-$1000 game in good condition...$1300 I would want something in absolutely excellent condition.

I've never been able to tell from his pictures the condition in detail, I would ask for more pictures if I were interested in something he was selling, but it could very well be a much better than average example.

Yeah, $900-$1000 seems about right to me too, in really good working condition.

As an aside, I'm not too sure how credible Pinside is for pricing though. Gottlieb Spirit is valued at $600 and Bally Star Trek is $1700? I think the numbers are volunteered by members and not really based on anything credible. I think Boston is closer to reality despite being valued through ebay sales: http://www.bostonpinball.biz/ebay1111.htm.

Price guides mean nothing in Canada... Supply / Demand is king.

Remember also that prices are rarely "firm" .. I'm betting the fella would take $1100 for it. :)

Fun game, I enjoy mine. Very fast..

That's just silly salesman talk, Brock. A history of sales does mean something, especially when it concerns a game that was produced 14,502 times.

Hype it up all you want, relative in value to other pins, $1300 is getting into DMD territory and F-14 is still a $900 game ... maybe. It seems like there's always one for sale somewhere.

I'd agree that it's not a $1300 game, but if it was fully stripped, shopped and is in great shape then it's not a $900 game either. :P

There's something to be said about buying a game you have to do absolutely nothing to.. I've realized this lately with my lack of spare time, and I'm willing to pay extra to get it (ie. the RBION I'm picking up).

You're just a cheap bastard, Kevin. :P

Okay, $950. Just look at the past F14 FS threads on maaca.

I'm not cheap!

... but I am frugal. It's not that easy trying to earn a living as an artist on your own, you know.

That's a fine argument but you could also use those threads to compare the trend in rising prices lately ;)

Sure, but I think that trend applies to the more coveted and less prevalent games (like Trudeau's, of course), and not the over-produced, easy-peasy, quarter-gobblers (bitd) that Ritchie made.

No one seems to keep a F-14 in their collection very long for some reason.

Probably because it's still a System 11 with shallow rules. ;)

Hey, hey, I'm not trolling! sheesh.

Choosterbuck was asking if $1300 was a fair price for an F-14 and we're discussing supply and demand. Clearly, in F-14 world, there's plenty of supply and not enough demand. :P

PM to Sparky!

Also make sure this game does not have raised inserts. This seems to be a common issue. $900 -$1000 is a fair price.
Pins: Popeye, JD, DM, STTNG, TZ, WOZ, RS.. just need IJ
Vids: Asteroids Deluxe,Tron,Battle Zone,Neo Geo 4,Centipede,Fix it Felix, SF 2,Space Duel,Major Havoc,World Class Bowling Deluxe,Radikal Biker,Golden Tee,Sega Super GT,Rampage,Cosmic Avengers
