Prolly redemption:
As far as activities go, the location will also feature The Yard—an attractions area that will offer over 100 amusement games. Credits earned while gaming are tracked on RFID wristbands and can be redeemed at The Trophy Case for a variety of prizes, including retro candy, drones, whisky stones, portable speakers and more.
Other attractions include virtual reality and race car simulators, bowling lanes, air hockey, pool and ping pong. There will also be multiple performance spaces offering both live and programmed entertainment.

They're putting one in here in London too, at the old Target store at Masonville Place.

We have an empty Target in Oshawa that would just love one of these. They keep saying they are going to build something big out this way and it never seems to happen. A large waterpark was debated for many years at Thickson and the 401.

Makes sense, though. The Pladium is literately across the street. They can just dolly the games across the street light. Who knows, maybe they will sell the Pladium property and move all their stuff there. But ya, 80% redemption shit games.

Playdium is across the street from there and also owned by Cineplex. Basically this is a fancy way of saying "Playdium is moving across the street".

I don't know...it kind of seems like a different experience they're trying to create with these new facilities. I haven't been to Playdium in probably almost 2 decades lol but they're just a giant arcade place, right? This new facility is more akin to a Dave and Busters/Real Sports type facility where the games are just a part of the activities/experience they offer. I probably wouldn't go to Playdium nowadays, but this new place has me intrigued. Similarly, kids would likely be more interested in a place like Playdium where they just want to play games.

Cineplex has a lot of ventures that are geared to arcade-style entertainment. They even own Wacky Wings. Variety is key if you want to dominate any market
