WTB:Arkanoid Spinner

Postby Newfie » Wed Mar 22, 2017 11:22 am

Anyone got a decent Arkanoid spinner for sale or trade? Need one to finish a Revenge of Doh project.

That's definitely an upgrade from the original game in that cab ;-)

I've got some, I'll check them tomorrow night. I think they are in decent shape.

Wonder how well Arkanoid and ROD would play with a trackball, I mean it's just effectively a dual axis spinner right? I'm thinking it'd be like playing Brick Breaker on a giant Blackberry!?

I've played it on MAME with a trackball and it was a really good experience (you just have to get used to moving the trackball versus gripping a spinner).

I imagine in MAME you can set the trackball sensitivity per game, I've just used joys and buttons with MAME (pi and my homebrew fightstick), so no firsthand exp. with a trackball in emulator.

I played ROD on my mame cab using an Xarcade controller with trackball and it worked fine. Just took a little getting used to.

What is this "Arkanoid" you speak of, I've only ever seen "Akkanow" and "Arkanow" for sale on Craigslist...
