RIP Syd Bolton

Postby nintendan » Tue Jun 12, 2018 10:07 pm

Victor Lucas just said he has passed away on his daily show on EPN.

I'm truly saddened by the news. He was a regular here when I first joined this site.

RIP Syd.

Dan

EDIT... I just realized from my profile.... today is my 14th Anniversary of joining this site: June 12th 2004.

Wow he was only 46.

Never met him, got to see part of his collection at fanexpo a few years back.

Sad to see someone pass away so young.

RIP Syd.

Yeah - it was sad to see him go.
Syd was passionate about preserving computing (and gaming) history, and was a good guy.

I don't think Syd had kids (just a wife)

I'm pretty sure Syd was a founding member of this site.

CongoBongo?

I might be wrong about his handle. It's been a while.

I'm pretty sure CongoBongo was Dan Mullins....Syd was just Sydric on this forum.

My mistake. Makes sense. It's been a while. Not that it makes it any better.

Ahh man, I have been gone from here for a long time. Thought I'd pop in and see what's up...I am truly saddened by this news. Syd was a great guy and he will be sorely missed.

To all the old school guys still left in here " hey!"
