THE FUNHOUSE
Hey gang!
I've been visiting here for ages, and I can't believe this is my first post!! I've been on BYOAC for years, so you may have seen me there.
For the last ten years my living room has fondly been known as the Funhouse with my Neogeo cab, 100 CD Jukebox, my 1975 Pong table.
This weekend I'll be making the move from our two bedroom apartment Etobicoke (just down the street from Starburst) to our new house in Peterborough.
We've hired movers as taking my cab, jukebox and Pong table is not going to be a fun time leaving from the second floor apartment with no elevators.
I'll try to get some pics and video of the big move. This should be an interesting day. Wish me luck!!
I've been playing around with SketchUp, and this is what the new Funhouse will look like. If you want the SketchUp file let me know! Right now I have everything in the picture, including the LCD projector, new motorized screen and the JVL iTouch.
I'm looking for a second cab (someone on here has one I'm looking for, I just don't have the heart to ask if it's still available), and the pool table. Does anyone have any thoughts on the pool tables at the Starburst auctions?
Any comments or feed back would be great!
Thanks guys!!

That is a very good drawing. What I want to know is how you made such detailed and good looking models of the Galaga and cocktail and jukebox machines?
Is Sketchup a program that you bought or what? If it can generate plans like that, I'd like to try it myself.
Oh, and don't be shy. If someone has something you want, it never hurts to ask.

Hey WYSIWYG,
SketchUp is free and there are lots of video tutorials provided. It's a good program for beginners to 3D. It's deceptively powerful. There is a '3D Warehouse' or online library of pre-made SketchUp 3D components including the galaga machine...

Enjoy!

Hey guys!
Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll be moving to the west end of Peterborough (Kawartha Heights if that helps).
SketchUp is a Google program you can download for free and use for 8 hours. You can download different models into your drawing).
While I have your ear, maybe I can get some feedback on some idea's I have.
What do you think about rope light on the ceiling behind crown molding? Would this be bright enough? Would you go with white or a multi color?
Has anyone put LCD monitors in their bar? I was thinking the top of the bar could be two widescreen monitors spanned so you could have a nice screen saver where you put your drinks, or be able to watch the game on the bar top with my tuner card, or playing some MAME on top of the bar.
The rooms in the back in gray is the laundry room and a washroom, nothing exciting I can do there.
My MAME'd Neogeo will be one of the cabs I have, and the second one I'd really like is Mike's 'Championship Sprint', if it's still available. (good thing is I've already gotten the OK from the wife to get it, but maybe Mike and I can talk).
Here's a few more pics of my Neogeo with my LED signs.
Pong!
