That is super cool.
I'm a sucker for cool, unique stuff.
I've always wanted either a pinball play-field coffee table, or one of them NES controller ones you see online!
None the less, the table in the link is fantastic. I've never seen that concept before.

Ikea used to have (or possibly still does) sell a coffee table with a pull out drawer and glass top.
You could slide the drawer out add your remotes (or toys,trinkets and the likes) and close it up.
My buddy Bobby had one and used it to display some of his weapons. We called it the "unstable table"

That's why the students love it, it's cheap and the can throw it out when they finish school.

That wouldn't been too difficult/expensive to build, top piece of glass would probably cost you the most.
